I am Vidath Kaushal Warnakulasooriya, an undergraduate specializing in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology with a strong interest in electrical power systems, industrial electrical applications, and railway electrical engineering. I am passionate about working with large-scale electrical systems such as generators, transformers, transmission systems, and power distribution technologies.
I completed my industrial training at Sri Lanka Railways in the field of Electrical Engineering, where I gained practical exposure to railway electrical systems, maintenance procedures, power-related equipment, and real-world industrial operations. This experience strengthened my understanding of electrical infrastructure and improved my technical and problem-solving abilities in industrial environments.
Currently, I am working on my final year research project focused on a Smart Railway Track Inspection Rover — an intelligent system designed to improve railway track monitoring and inspection efficiency. The project combines modern engineering approaches with practical railway applications to support safer and more reliable railway operations.
I am continuously developing my knowledge in electrical engineering technologies while seeking opportunities to contribute to the power, railway, and industrial engineering sectors as a future professional engineer.
